- This volume was kept by Benjamin Franklin and there is a small notice, in his hand, pasted to a page: "B.F.s Private Acc[oun]ts." It consists of 18 pages recording payment of taxes, purchase of stockings, hats, bookcases, thermometer, hams, etc., servants wages, etc. Franklin's French expenses are on the first two pages under dates of December 1776-April 1777.
