Prepared for John Vaughan, but should be compared with Heckewelder's suggestions for revision in his correspondence with Du Ponceau.; Heckewelder's "Account of the History, Manners, and Customs of the Indian Nations..." was printed in the Transactions of the Historical & Literary Committee of the American Philosophical Society (1819).
