- Boston - Acknowledging his favor of the 29th ult. Surprised at complaints made against him by the Commissary Department. Would like to know who made the complaint; things there has been as much expedition shown in his department as in any on the Continent. Teamsters are paid any price to transport private property from Boston, and naturally they prefer it to carting public stores. Brewer has returned without money and therefore will not be able to send on the stores. Salt stopped on the road owing to not having a pass.
