Informs him on behalf of [George Washington] that since commissioners
from both armies will soon meet at Elizabethtown, [N. J.] in order to
make provision for sending money to British prisoners of war at Lancaster,
[Pa.] and elsewhere, it will not be necessary for Gordon to send officers
from Lancaster.
