Encloses speeches from story of winter dance from 1895. "Will you do me the favor to tell me how I must put it so that it does not look as though the reports did not agree." Cannot find any information in the winter dance descriptions about the Hawinalal.

Asks for more stories about instructions to children, education of children, how girls learn to make basketry, preservation of fish and berries, how boys are taught fishing and hunting, making of tools and painting and carving. Do not need more about fishing and hunting and how food is preserved as that has already been written down. Asks also for information on how a woman helps in the managing the property of her husband and her own. "You also never stated whether women who have not a man's place may take place in the potlatch."
