It is apparently an Eyak song, in which the bird is addressed as 'grandfather' by the appropriate sib (?). Chistochina people in 1960 said it was sung by guests after a potlatch meal. 'We eat just like Crow and Seagull. We copy them.' (Possibly the bird is interchangeable, depending on which moiety is guest)."; ;
