CONTENT DESCRIPTION
AbstractReceived letter of November 20. Will try to correct the place names on the map and translate them, though it will be difficult as many Indians themselves do not know the meaning of some of them. AwaxElagelis is well but has to stay at home most of the time. The Governor never wrote to the people as promised. "I was told that a Bishop came and stay in Alert Bay and spoke to the Indian and ask them what they want the Potlatch for and he told them the same thing as you say about the Big Debts, and he had Mrs. Cook for his Interpreter."
