CONTENT DESCRIPTION
AbstractReceived letter of October 29. Sorry to hear of health problems but hoping he has recovered. "It was just one of these attacks of weakness which we old people are exposed to every now and then." Sends thanks for sending the maps with names written in, though some of the handwritten words were hard to make out so is enclosing a typewritten list of those that were hard to make out as well as the maps. Asks to correct the mistakes and add translations of the place names. Asks about how AwaxElagelis is, if he is has recovered. Asks if the Governor has acted on any of the matters that Boas submitted to him on behalf of the Indians. "The last I had was a courteous letter without any statement as to what he had done."
