AbstractLetter from Benjamin Stoddert to Nathanael Greene. War Office - Encloses an order for 2000 hides, but the great demand for shoes renders it improper that the hide should be applied to any other uses, and prevents discretionary orders being given to Colonel Lewis and Colonel Hay.
