AbstractLetter from George Morgan to Nathanael Greene. Princeton - Sent Captain Clinton 00 to complete the work of opening the road from Turkeyfoot to Fort Pitt. Asks him to transmit an order for the sum expended. In spite of delays of the Treasury, has made an ample provision in the commissary department. The principal Delaware chiefs on their way to Philadelphia; has directed them to proceed at once to headquarters, that His Excellency may be informed of their disposition and intentions; will detain them a day or two to repose themselves, in order to save His Excellency trouble; wishes they could be paid some compliment on their approach to headquarters.
