CONTENT DESCRIPTION
AbstractLetter from Nathanael Greene to Joseph S. Lewis. Morristown - About forty horses in his district; not possible to recruit them fast enough to keep up the almost hourly exchange of horses at his post. Abuse of horse-flesh by the expresses, hired at Philadelphia; better for the Continent to pay each express .00 per day and let him keep his own horse. Court of Inquiry still sitting; not yet finished examining the evidences against Lewis.
