Abstract | Informs him about the availability and the prices of cloth and various commodities and mentions that "Almost all the Goods of all Kinds are moved into the Country"; informs him about the arrival of row galleys and about an engagement between them and British vessels; informs him that several transports carrying Massachusetts troops were stopped at Hell Gate, [N.Y.] because of smallpox and remarks that the lack of vegetables is one cause of sickness at present; informs him that approximately fifty vessels have joined the British fleet and that they probably carry foreign [German] troops. | ||
