Abstract | Letter from Baxter Howe to Nathanael Greene. Poim Bridge - Introducing the bearer of the letter, a British officers, who, disgusted by some ill treatment, has come over to the Americans. His situation one to excite compassion. His horse being worn out, has lent him one as far as Mandeville (?). Trusts that General Greene will furnish him with the means of getting to Philadelphia, and will be kind to him whether he deserves it or not. | ||
