Abstract | Letter from Nathanael Greene to Moore Furman. Smith's Clove - Acknowledging favor of the 5th inst. Will endeavor to send back teams to bring on the provisions. Repeats his plan of dividing the route into stages. Advises removing stores at Pluckemin to Susquehanna or Pittstown, should enemy invade New Jersey. Grain of no grain, the provisions must come on to the army; if necessary, the cattle must eat grass. | ||
