| Abstract | Letter from Nathanael Greene to moore Furman. Accepting his resignation as deputy quartermaster general for the State of New Jersey. Sorry that the late oppressive law in his State, dangerous to the rights of citizens as well as to the privileges of officers, has forced him to this measure. Begs him to continue to manage the business in his private capacity until he can appoint another, or until Congress can remedy the effects of this unprecedented measure. | ||
