AbstractLetter from Charles Pettit to Nathanael Greene. West Point - Ship-carpenters from Philadelphia sent for by His Excellency's express command. Concerning the wages of these men and other workmen. Some liberal and proper provision must be made for the under staff, if they are to stay. Disbursements he has been obliged to make; short of funds himself. Requests for money from Colonel Lewis and Messrs. Otis and Henley. Expenditures swelled by the preparations for the New York expedition. Has distributed the little tracts upon finance among good judges.
