Philadelphia - Account of an interview he had with the Board of Congress, during which he laid before them the situation of the Quartermaster's department and the probable consequences if they were not supplied with money. After much discussion, procured a warrant on the Loan Office for two millions, and one on the Loan Office in New Jersey for ,000 to help Mr. Furman. Colonel Mitchell's application for teams to the Council. Sends, by Mr. Frame, 1,000 for him, and the like sum for Colonel Hay. | ||
