CONTENT DESCRIPTION
AbstractLetter from Ephraim Bowen to Nathanael Greene about a want of cash. Directed by General Gates to apply to him (General Greene). Thinks the devil has possessed everybody who has anything to supply the army with. Carters refuse to move unless paid at once. The day before a party of Tories landed at Quidnisit (Quidnick) and took eleven of Colonel Greene's blacks; they left a small vessel which grounded with five men.
