- Pleased that writing on cooking is completed. Wants to begin a detailed history of a few particular people (not specified) in Fort Rupert, tracing their relations from birth, clans of relations, positions taken, names, houses, places, childrens' clans, etc., as a way of showing how "Kwakiutl laws" work. Be sure to include what rights and stories a man gets from his father-in-law, what second and third sons get.
