Received letter of October 18. Sent pages 3444-3467 on November 12th. Sending now pages 3468-3482, answering some recent questions. Recording stories is taking extra time as he now asks the person who owns the story to tell it, then goes to rival nEmemot to hear their version of the story. "Lots of people from Vancouver getting stories from the Indians and they write down the story weather it is write or [w]rong and this I don't want to fool us." The different patterns of cedar mats may be difficult to get.

Received letter of November 1. Enjoyed spending a few days together in Victoria. Felt like a "lost man" in Vancouver after Boas's departure and headed home early. Clarifies that the prayers written down each belong to particular individuals. Gives travel costs.
Sending 100 cards of Kwagu'ł dictionary back with some corrections in spelling. Also sending 3879-3895 about abortion, 3895-3910 of two stories told by Odzestales. Hopes to next write down Hägwălał story of L!aL!Esëqwāl nEmemot. Woman who owns it does not want it recorded. Her son may give it after she passes away.
