Discusses vouchers and payments. Asked friend in Ottawa (Sapir?) to help clear up matter with postmaster general in Vancouver. Received $300 in funding to continue work with Hunt. Would like to get more names of clover garden beds, olachen fishing spots, and similar information at Knight Inlet and elsewhere.
Received letter of June 10. Lists in the letter pages sent recently by Hunt in order to make sure he has everything. Mentions some points of confusion due to page numbering. Asks if particular animals or blind people in stories have a unique way of speaking. Gives example of Mink and the Dzonoq!wa. Asks for list of names of stars and constellations, or stories related to them, as the G̱usgimukw have many. Clarifies earlier question about animal stories.
Sending the tale "How the Raven stole his sister's herring," written down in 1897 in Rivers Inlet, for Hunt to review for mistakes. Would like to have the story translated into Kwak'wala.
