| Table of Contents | | "1. sARani yAngadi (Crow-sunrise region) doctor's song. Originally used by Harry John's father, who was Martha's mother's 'father's brother.' Sung withoug a drum. Version with drum is on Side 2, 1. -- 2. Sleep doctor's Thunder (lt'Eni) Song. Originally used by Old Nicolai of Chitina. Also sung by Joe Nicolai, Martha's mother's cousin. It should be sung with a drum. -- 3. Gakona George's Sleep Doctor's Song. He was Martha's mother's brother. (Martha used a drum.) -- 4. A second song belonging to Gakona George, also shaman's song." |
