NoteOriginally recorded phonograph discs in 1936, then transferred to open reel tape for the APS by the Library of Congress in 1970. This recording has been identified as culturally sensitive. Reproduction is restricted. "False Face" is a term for Haudenosaunee Medicine Masks that was applied by the original collector to this recording. The term is considered both inaccurate and offensive by many Haudenosaunee communities.
