AbstractThe autobiographical text was collected by Alfred W. Bowers from Crows Heart, a Mandan, in June of 1929. The recording consists of the English version of the text being read in short chunks by Alfred W. Bowers, followed by free translations into Hidatsa by Crows Heart's daughter, Annie Crows Heart Eagle.
